Quite often, wind tunnel testing requires multiple pressures to be simultaneously monitored during a “run” (A run is a period of time when data is being collected). Traditionally, multi-manometers were used for this purpose. Although multi-manometers are an excellent low-budget tool, the device must be interpreted by the observer and data must be recorded manually or photographically. Today, the AEROLAB Pressure Transducer Array eliminates the fluid-filled manometer and, hence, the need to manually record data.
Available in “banks” of 12, 18, and 24 pressure transducers, the optional AEROLAB DAC (Data Acquisition and Control System) can display the output as you require. For educational purposes, the display is often configured to look much like a traditional multi-manometer for conceptual reasons. Data is then recorded automatically with a high degree of accuracy.
Every AEROLAB Pressure Transducer Array comes factory calibrated and includes a user selectable zero offset and a user configurable channel count.

Pressure Transducer Arrays are available in banks of 12, 18, and 24 inputs. Housed in a rugged, machined (anodized) aluminum case, the pressure transducers are fastened with snap rings.
The pressure transducers (absolute) are available in several ranges to meet your specific needs. They are temperature compensated and the output signal is digital. Digital signals are far less susceptible to external electrical noise thereby offering superior accuracy, resolution and repeatability.
An executable LabVIEW file is provided with the system. LabVIEW is not needed to run the executable file! The display graphic is much like a multi-tube manometer and data is saved in tab-delimited form to a text file.

Aerolab's original dual-size (.125" & .0625") pressure tube fitting, standard on all PTAs and available separately.
Wiring the AEROLAB Pressure Transducer Array is extremely simple. The device is powered with a 110VAC power cord and signal output is one RJ jack, regardless of the number of pressure transducers in the bank! There are no external power supplies or signal processors. The RJ jack cable then plugs into any empty USB port on your computer – true “plug and play” technology.
